Cookies and browser storage

This policy covers cookies and similar browser storage technologies, including local storage, that updated.cv uses to operate sign-in, security, preferences, feature setup, and performance.

Authentication and security cookies maintain sessions, prevent abuse, and protect account access. These are required for the service requested by the user and disabling them can prevent sign-in or protected features from working.

Load-balancing, request-integrity, and fraud-prevention technologies may also be necessary to deliver the service securely.

We use local storage for choices such as language, sidebar state, product-tour completion, Career Agent preferences, and cached application data. Clearing site data resets these preferences and may sign you out.

If updated.cv enables non-essential analytics, advertising, or behavioral tracking, we will identify the provider and purpose and request consent where required before activating it. We do not treat continued browsing alone as consent where affirmative consent is legally required.

You can delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser. Necessary storage cannot be disabled inside the app because it is required for authentication and security. Optional consent, if offered, can be withdrawn as easily as it was given.
