The rules for using updated.cv

These Terms govern access to updated.cv and form an agreement between you and the operator identified through updated.cv's legal or support contact channels. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and provide accurate account information.

The service is not directed to children under 16. If you use updated.cv for another person or organization, you represent that you have authority and all permissions needed to provide their information and accept these Terms.

updated.cv lets users create, manage, publish, export, and share professional profiles, CVs, portfolios, supporting assets, job materials, integrations, and related content. Features, allowances, and availability depend on the selected plan and current product configuration.

You retain ownership of content you provide. You grant updated.cv a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, format, display, transmit, translate, and generate outputs from that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service for you.

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, confidentiality, and permissions associated with all content you add, import, publish, or send, including information about employers, referees, endorsers, recipients, and other third parties.

Public or unlisted profile links, published CVs, proof links, endorsements, and shared files may be accessed by anyone with the URL and may be indexed where indexing is enabled. You are responsible for selecting an appropriate visibility level before publishing.

We may remove, disable, or restrict content or links where reasonably necessary for law, security, payment integrity, third-party rights, service stability, or enforcement of these Terms.

Smart Update, CV Clinic, Career Agent, and related tools may process CVs, screenshots, prompts, job descriptions, profile data, and selected assets through configured AI providers to produce structured drafts, suggestions, rewrites, rankings, cover letters, and application materials.

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, outdated, or unsuitable. It is not a verified fact, professional credential, legal advice, employment advice, or guarantee of any result. You must review all factual claims, recipients, attachments, qualifications, and eligibility requirements before publishing or sending anything.

Personal AI allows you to use a supported provider account and API key for eligible workflows. You are responsible for provider charges, quotas, models, availability, retention settings, and provider terms. The selected provider receives the context needed for each request.

Career Agent may discover jobs, rank relevance, prepare materials, and support user-approved sending where a suitable route is available. Job information may be incomplete, expired, inaccurate, fraudulent, or changed by third parties.

You are responsible for verifying the employer, role, recipient, work eligibility, compensation, location, application route, CV version, cover letter, supporting assets, and every factual statement before an application is sent or treated as submitted.

updated.cv does not guarantee interviews, offers, hiring outcomes, income, employer responses, delivery, or acceptance by an applicant-tracking system or third-party platform.

Paid plans are recurring subscriptions processed through Bachs or another disclosed payment provider. Checkout displays the plan, currency, billing interval, included limits, and renewal terms before payment. Subscriptions renew until canceled.

You may schedule cancellation from Billing. Cancellation normally stops future renewals while paid access continues until the end of the current billing period. Plan limits, inactive features, and downgrade handling may change the availability of profiles or tools without deleting user content.

Payments, billing-error requests, and refund eligibility are governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, completed payments are non-refundable after paid digital access has been made available.

You must not use updated.cv to break the law; facilitate fraud, money laundering, terrorism financing, sanctions evasion, harassment, discrimination, impersonation, spam, deceptive recruitment, credential fabrication, intellectual-property infringement, malware, unauthorized access, scraping abuse, or interference with the service or third-party systems.

You must not circumvent plan limits, rate limits, access controls, geographic restrictions, security measures, provider restrictions, or suspension. Connected apps and agents must use the minimum scopes needed and respect privacy, anti-spam, employer, platform, and application rules.

We may investigate, preserve evidence, restrict automation, suspend credentials, remove content, or terminate access where we reasonably believe use is unlawful, deceptive, unsafe, abusive, or harmful.

The service may not be used from, for the benefit of, or in connection with any person, entity, territory, or activity prohibited by applicable sanctions, export-control, anti-money-laundering, anti-terrorism, or trade-control laws. Restricted parties and territories change over time, so we may block or limit access based on current legal obligations and provider requirements.

You represent that you are not a prohibited or restricted party and will not use the service in violation of applicable export-control or sanctions rules, including rules administered by relevant Nigerian, United States, United Kingdom, European Union, or other competent authorities where they lawfully apply.

If you access updated.cv outside Nigeria, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local employment, privacy, consumer, marketing, tax, export, and technology laws. We do not represent that every feature is lawful or available in every jurisdiction.

updated.cv relies on third parties for infrastructure, authentication, storage, media, email, payments, AI, job data, translation, and integrations. Their availability and separate terms may affect features, processing locations, limits, and service continuity.

We do not control third-party websites, employers, job listings, agents, models, payment networks, or application systems and are not responsible for their independent acts, content, policies, security, or decisions.

You must protect account credentials, integration keys, OAuth grants, provider keys, and devices. You are responsible for activity performed through credentials you authorize unless applicable law requires otherwise.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately where reasonably necessary for material breach, fraud, unlawful activity, non-payment, sanctions or export-control risk, security incidents, abusive automation, threats to others, or protection of the service. No refund is owed for a termination caused by your violation except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

After termination, active access may end and public content may be disabled. Limited billing, fraud-prevention, audit, dispute, security, backup, and legal records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

The service is provided on an as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, updated.cv disclaims implied warranties and does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent availability of any feature, error-free output, data recovery, job outcomes, or compatibility with every employer or platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, updated.cv and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost opportunities, profits, revenue, goodwill, or data; employer or recruiter conduct; or legal consequences arising from your unlawful or non-compliant use.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, aggregate liability arising from the service will be limited to the amount you paid to updated.cv during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim, unless applicable law requires a higher remedy.

To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold the updated.cv operator and its personnel harmless from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your content, unlawful use, infringement, connected agents, applications, breach of these Terms, or failure to comply with laws that apply to you. This does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by updated.cv's own unlawful conduct.

We may update these Terms as the product, law, providers, or risks change. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably practical or legally required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

Contact support first so we can investigate. The governing law and courts are those applicable to the operator's legal establishment, subject to non-waivable consumer, privacy, and forum rights that apply where you live. No provision removes a mandatory legal remedy.
